the Founder
The idea for Investing for Mummies began with my own fears.
For many years, I was completely dependent on my husband when it came to our finances. He managed the investments, the planning, and the decisions. While I trusted him completely, a quiet discomfort stayed with me. Having lost my father early in life, the thought of not understanding our finances—or not knowing what to do if I ever had to manage them myself—deeply unsettled me.
So I decided to start learning.
As I began getting involved in our family’s financial planning, I realised something surprising: the concepts themselves weren’t nearly as complicated as they seemed. What made them feel intimidating was the jargon and the way they were often explained.
That moment planted the seed for Investing for Mummies.
I created this initiative for women who feel the same hesitation around investing that I once did—women who are confident and capable in every other part of life but feel unsure when the conversation turns to money.
My hope is to create a space where investing is explained simply, questions are always welcome, and women can approach their financial future with clarity, confidence, and independence.
